Flying into Asunción, we're arriving! We're arriving! It's our first glimpse of where we'll be spending the next ten days.
Early morning confused faces all around as we wonder what we're doing up at four AM for the flight at six.
The last real dinner we ate, and the first once we returned. The Lido Bar was a well known place in Asunción.
Outside of what was the Paraguayan version of the White House. The president wasn't there, but it made for a good first day photo op.
Oh Dulce de Leche. This delicious caramel spread was our breakfast, eaten with bread and washed down with some hot cocoa. We went through two tubs in five days.
Our mate. We drank mate everywhere: in the car, in the jungle, in the hotel. It was the drink of the highly caffeinated.
Morissette is able to sleep anywhere. He provides himself for many great photo opportunities.
This ones pretty self explanatory. That's our toilet. There were spiders.
Toothbrush madness! After our lessons we handed out toothbrushes and toothpaste to as many children as we could before we unfortunately ran out.
After we ate our last lunch of the trip, we invited in the kids who had been waiting outside the fence to eat their fill too.
Morissette and Nelson selecting the best plants to put on the truck to be planted in the jungle.
The kids were adorable. One of the best parts of the whole trip.
Morissette and Mario putting the finishing touches on the solar panel we brought down that will power Guayakí's mate processing portion of the village.
Five days no hair washing. You get 'viking hair.'
There once was this incredible wrap around balcony at the Asunción Palace Hotel, and this is the view from it in the morning.
Our last day before we got back on the plane we took a quick jaunt to San Lorenzo. They had insane parks and questionable street food.
